ORIGINAL STORY: A building in Hoboken went up in flames early Monday morning.
The blaze broke out at 38 Jackson St. shortly after 12 a.m., according to a Tweet from Lena Maksad.
A “massive blast” occurred at some point that “looked like it was about to explode all around,” Maksad said.
Portions of Jackson Street, Harrison Street, Paterson Plank Road and Ravine Road were closed to traffic as emergency crews worked to douse the blaze, Fox5NY reports.
Local buses were also detoured on Routes 85, 87 and 126, the report says, citing NJ Transit.
